Jaguar has redesigned the XJ and provided new engines for 2010.
The 2010 XJ comes in four models: XJ, XJL (which is a longer wheelbase with 5 inches of extra legroom in the back seat), Supercharged and the special order Supersport.
The 2010 XJ has a mesh grille and new headlight clusters. The hood is domed and creased as is the current trend.
The XJ's back end is noticeably different and seems more like it belongs on a coupe.
The interior looks more modern with black and chrome surfaces. The gauges maintain that classic analog look. The same old rich leather and wood trim flows from the door panels across the top of the dashboard. A standard panoramic glass roof completes the interior.
The XJ and XJL come with a standard 5.0-liter V-8 rated that creates 385 horsepower. The supercharged version has a 5.0-liter engine and makes 470 hp with the Supersport making 510 hp. They go from zero-to-60 mph in 5.4, 4.9 and 4.7 seconds. The XJ comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission and has an air-spring suspension and automatically controlled shock absorbers.
The XJ has antilock brakes, an electronic stability system, active front seat belts, and seat belt pretensioners.
