LR2 4dr All-wheel Drive HSE | $35,500 | $32,298 |
Destination Charge: $850 |
The LR2 is a compact luxury SUV that provides a less expensive alternative to Land Rover's other, more expensive, offerings.
The LR2 shares its 230-horsepower inline-6-cylinder engine with several Volvo models. Off-road ability gets a boost thanks to permanent four-wheel drive that can apportion nearly 100% of engine power to the front or rear wheels.
From the adjoined headlights to the squared-off rear, the LR2 looks like a shrunken Range Rover. With 8.3 inches of ground clearance and a 31-degree approach angle, the LR2 is more off-road-capable than the RDX and X3.
- Optional 19-inch wheels
- Optional body-colored bumpers
The LR2 has squared-off dashboard controls and a four-spoke steering wheel. Audiophiles can choose an optional 12-speaker Dolby system with surround sound. Two rows of seats accommodate five occupants.
- Standard dual-zone automatic climate control
- Standard leather upholstery
- Standard two-piece panoramic moonroof
- Standard power front seats
- Optional HD radio
The 3.2-liter inline-six-cylinder generates 230 hp and 234 pounds-feet of torque. It drives all four wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission. When properly equipped, the LR2 can tow up to 3,500 pounds.
Safety features include:
- Standard four-wheel-disc antilock brakes
- Standard dual front airbags, side-impact airbags for the front seats, side curtain airbags and driver's knee airbag
- Standard electronic stability system with Roll Stability Control
